The Swedish laminate and substrate manufacturer will run its Höganäs coating, slitting and rewinding lines on opt-Studio, X-Trim, GreyconMill and GreyconWeb, integrated with its new cloud ERP.

NicLam AB, a Swedish manufacturer of self-adhesive laminates and substrates, has selected Greycon as its partner for advanced planning and scheduling, trim optimisation and manufacturing execution at its Höganäs site. The partnership gives NicLam a single, integrated planning and execution layer as it consolidates newly acquired production assets with its own lines and moves onto a modern cloud ERP.

Scope of the partnership

The engagement covers NicLam’s roll-based operation end to end: coating on the primary machines and slitting and rewinding on the converting lines. Greycon will deliver opt-Studio, its advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software, for finite-capacity scheduling and what-if planning across the consolidated machine park; X-Trim, its trim optimisation software, to generate cutting patterns that minimise waste and maximise usable width across primary production and converting; and GreyconMill, its manufacturing execution system (MES), for production execution visibility, end-to-end material and reel traceability, quality and downtime intelligence, shift management and OEE. GreyconWeb extends live planning and production data to the wider NicLam team from any browser. The Greycon platform will be integrated with NicLam’s new cloud ERP so that manufacturing and business systems stay synchronised. Greycon’s professional services team will deliver the implementation by upgrading and extending the established Greycon installation at the site.
