By 1989, Greycon had developed trim optimization and scheduling tools, DeckleBench & S-Plan, developed on MS-DOS and Unix.

Technology had advanced at a rapid pace since 1985, the market demand for a Windows based solution was realised. S-Plan was the first fully window-based software released by Greycon.

Kodak award Greycon with their first major US contract, which we integrated with our partners, SAP. Meanwhile, over 6 million tonnes per annum is being scheduled by Greycon in the paper industry.

With lots of interest coming from North America, Greycon expanded their operation to cover the United States allowing easier access to Canada and LATAM.

The software world was moving at a rapid pace since the start of the millennium, and during this period, Greycon had developed X-Trim 2.0 enabling manufacturers to achieve unmatched trim optimization and waste reduction.

By this time, Greycon entered a strategic alliance with SAP and Metso, achieving SAP certification and implementing an APS connector to SAP APO

Over a 2-year period, from 2008, Greycon began to expand their software portfolio, creating their first Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and advanced planning & scheduling system, opt-Studio®.

By 2012, Greycon had opened operations in China, Latin America, and Greece, providing an unparalleled customer support, while continuing to invest in research and development of their software.

Now optimizing over 200 million tons per annum in the paper industry, Greycon implemented their 500^th site, with manufacturers continuing to see the many benefits of the Greycon software portfolio.

Greycon were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade category, while also winning Specialist Applications Category in Megabyte’s annual Emerging Stars Awards. Vesta Software Group acquire Greycon and all operations, while Greycon continue operating as a separate legal entity within Vesta.

Greycon enter the artificial intelligence field using statistical techniques to give the software the ability to “learn” from data collected.

Greycon introduced the opt-Studio mobile app, allowing seamless access to data, boosting customer service, and monitoring orders, machine activities, and production plans on a phone or tablet.

The acquisition of sister company WM Data has enriched the Vesta Software Group family. Together, Greycon and WM Data are poised to deliver even greater value and innovation to our clients!
