Why GreyconWeb®?

GreyconWeb® is a modern, web-based portal that extends the reach and usability of Greycon’s core solutions, X-Trim, opt-Studio, and GreyconMill. Designed to complement these desktop applications, GreyconWeb provides seamless access to key data and functionality via any modern web browser.

Whether you are on the shop floor, in a meeting room, or working remotely, GreyconWeb enables users to interact with their Greycon systems from virtually anywhere, simplifying visibility and improving responsiveness across production and planning operations.

Let’s examine the official version 2025.1 in more detail.

Main interface view

The main view consists of a collapsible tree menu, a top bar, and the main area where information is displayed. The user can configure this view to display the desired information on the home page according to their needs.

With its intuitive interface and flexible widget-based dashboards, GreyconWeb empowers users to create real-time views of essential KPIs, track historical performance, and tailor the web platform to their needs. For example, a planner can follow an order from its initial scheduling stage in opt-Studio, track its associated material allocations in GreyconMill, and evaluate its trim optimisation in X-Trim, all from within the same web interface.

In addition to visualisation, when the system must display a list of entities, it uses grids that the user can set up and filter, depending on specific needs, and then export to different formats, such as Excel, CSV, or Clipboard.  

Each new release of GreyconWeb continues to expand its capabilities, bringing more control and insight to the web interface.

What can you expect from GreyconWeb®?

Seamless integration of data coming from all the Greycon products.

GreyconWeb® is designed to provide users with a streamlined, flexible, and intuitive experience when interacting with data from Greycon’s suite of applications. Improves the planning and scheduling experience by offering a transparent, real-time perspective on customer demand, order management, and task execution.

One of the most valuable features, as we mentioned before, is its ability to integrate data and provide immediate access to critical operational information from X-Trim, opt-Studio, and GreyconMill, combined into a single, homogeneous user interface, directly through a web browser. The system ensures that data is not only accessible but also easy to interpret, thanks to configurable grids and detailed views that present both high-level overviews and specific details.

Users can view and navigate interconnected data sets without switching systems and quickly identify high-priority customers, current order backlogs, or orders that are waiting on the shop floor to be shipped. This level of integration enhances visibility, eliminates inconsistencies between systems, and ensures that decisions are based on the most up-to-date and complete data set available.

GreyconWeb® includes a Gantt chart feature that closely mirrors the familiar Gantt screen found in opt-Studio, offering planners a visual and interactive way to manage scheduling activities. The Gantt chart provides a timeline-based view of tasks or runs, allowing users to assess and adjust schedules with ease. This feature is fully customisable, and one of the key tools available within the Gantt chart is the freezing function, which allows users to freeze specific tasks or sections of the schedule. This ensures that critical operations remain locked, or in “frozen position”, during planning adjustments.

Dashboards with customisable widgets

GreyconWeb® empowers you to build tailored dashboards using a flexible widget library that reflects the same field names, structures, and terminology found in Greycon’s desktop products. This design choice ensures a familiar user experience, significantly reducing the need for additional training or support.

You can create as many dashboards as you want, and when you create a dashboard, you are its owner. This means that you can configure, make changes, delete it and even give permission to other users to access the dashboard. However, this customisation goes beyond cosmetics; you can not only configure the layout but also personalise and save it as a favourite. You can have as many favourites as you want. The key feature of this tailored personalisation is that every dashboard refreshes itself automatically, so you will have fresh data every time you log in.

Each dashboard can be adapted to suit different roles or business goals, using a collection of different widgets that the user can personalise and move around just with a simple drag & drop, enabling them to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as trim optimisation, machine utilisation, inventory levels, waste, customer service metrics, and more.

Whether it’s a production supervisor tracking daily machine efficiency, a planner monitoring on-time delivery, or a plant manager reviewing waste metrics across multiple sites, widgets can display live KPIs, filtered datasets, charts, or historical performance, all configurable through an intuitive interface.

Analysis mode

GreyconWeb® introduces an Analysis Mode, available through every data grid via a few clicks. This feature brings powerful, Excel-like pivot table functionality directly into the web interface, allowing users to explore and transform raw operational data into actionable insights without leaving the system. In the analysis mode, you can save the configuration as a favourite and have accessible fresh data on your screen every time.

Whether it’s investigating root causes of downtime, analysing production trends by grade, or comparing yield performance by machine, users can quickly create relevant views and visualise them on the spot. Analysis Mode turns GreyconWeb® into a self-service analytics platform, giving planners, analysts, and supervisors the power to explore their data in meaningful ways and respond faster to what they find.

Non-pivot and Pivot are the two ways you can use the Analysis Mode. In the first one, you can group the information by one or more fields and aggregate more fields to the configuration. The pivot analysis lets you convert any one of those fields into columns, so you can have the value you need to analyse distinct in the grid as a column and view it in more detail.
