Greycon’s X-Trim / APO interface receives Powered by SAP NetWeaver Certification
June 2008
On June 18th, Greycon successfully completed the SAP certification for NetWeaver of the X-Trim / APO interface (APS Connector) under the NW-XI-CNT 3.0 NetWeaver XI Content Integration Scenario.
The objective of the internal project was to build the interface required to make APS Connector work under the NetWeaver platform keeping all the business logic built over the years in APS Connector but giving the option to connect to SAP through the use of SAP XI component.
To achieve this, Greycon has developed a new .NET component that encapsulates the logic required to connect to -and exchange SOAP messages with- XI. This has been added as a new connection option in APS Connector to the direct RFC calls. The new component implements the same GUI as the current APS Connector interface making the change transparent to the users.
This certification, follows from the earlier certification, almost three years ago to the day when Greycon delivered the first certified interface between APO and a trim optimisation solution. This solution has been adopted by International Paper, Koehler, Moorim, VPK and now by EN Paper of Korea.
Greycon now also have our own SAP landscape, which will be of immense use in testing. We also plan to use the landscape to support our consulting activities, which are growing as more and more customers realise the benefit of industry knowledge within an SAP context.
