Greycon for Europe’s Largest Fine Paper Machine

Greycon is pleased that Portucel Soporcel group’s new monster machine from Metso will be scheduled using Greycon tools.
The new paper machine, installed in August in its Setúbal industrial site (already a Greycon customer) has an effective paper width of 10.4 m and will produce 500,000 tonnes annually, making it the largest and most sophisticated machine in the world for the production of uncoated woodfree paper targeting the high-quality office papers market.
The Portucel Soporcel group’s investment of €550 million will increase the group’s total paper production capacity to some 1.5 million tonnes/year. Portucel Soporcel group will become the leading European producer in these grades.
