S-Plan APS: Shop Floor Controller
Product Overview
The Shop Floor Controller is a schedule presentation and data collection tool designed for operations that do not already have comprehensive manufacturing execution systems. Specific shop floor events can be configured to generate external warning such as e-mail.
Outputs
- Provides "to-do-lists" for each machine
- Allows to read notes attached to orders and operations and to manipulate them
Inputs
- Allow booking of operations (jobs), partial and full completion, putting on hold
- Enter timing information for operations
S-Plan and Shop Floor Controller are closely linked to each other via the common underlying database. The operation cycle is as follows:
- Enter orders and operations into S-Plan.
- Run the scheduler and manipulate until happy with the result
- Release the schedule
- Use Shop Floor Controller to complete jobs as they are being worked on in your plant
- Reload data in S-Plan and go to step 1
