S-Plan APS: Quota Manager

Product Overview

S-Plan Quota Management – Developed in conjunction with Drewsen Spezialpapiere, this functionality allows the reservation (and gradual release) of production capacity for different market segments. This is a yield management mechanism that can, for example, turn away business, keeping capacity in reserve for better opportunities.

Quotas operate at the block level and consist of:

• A filter, e.g. “colour = red”
• A quantity, “120 T” or “20%”
• An optional expiry date, “07/07/2009 12:00” or “003:00:00”

Quotas considered during insertion of orders into blocks & runs within S-Plan, by Integration Manager and also by Capacity-to-promise (CTP). Multiple quotas on the same filter are possible, with different expiry dates, allowing incremental release of capacity.
