The Greycon group of companies is ultimately owned by Greycon Limited a company registered in England, Registration number 1861647, VAT Registration No. 422 3242 00

Greycon originates from the Industrial Systems Group of Imperial College of the University of London. The three founders of the company, Alex Dimitriadis, Prof. Greyham Bryant, and Dr. Constantine Goulimis, having previously developed innovative software for the paper and board industry, formed the company to specialise in the application of advanced mathematical techniques for manufacturing.
Some of the key milestones in our history:
- 1985 - DeckleBench at Purfleet Board generates savings of 2.5%. Greycon formed.
- 1986 - C-Plan developed and installed at Arjo Wiggins Stoneywood
- 1988 - S-Plan goes live at Stoneywood, scheduling factory 365 x 24
- 1991 - S-Plan v3 / DeckleBench v6: PC
- 1994 - S-Plan v4 / DeckleBench v7: Windows
- 1996 - Condat; Sony
- 1997 - over 6 MTPA scheduled by Greycon in the paper industry; Kodak
- 1999 - North America operation
- 2000 - X-Trim / I-Plan
- 2001 - I-Plan
- 2002 - Strategic alliance with SAP and Metso
- 2003 - X-Trim 2.0, ReTrim Implementation, APS Connector to SAP APO, two I-Plan sites go live
- 2004 - Acquisition of Paper Mill Manager from i2; Acquisition of BCW
- 2005 - Asia, APP & Moorim projects; Formation of Greycon Latin America; SAP Certification
- 2006 - SIAM Kraft project
- 2007 - Acquisition of remaining 49.9% of GLA; D-Opt Release
